WNBA Champions!!!!

My team won!!! The Sacramento Monarchs defeated the Connecticut Sun 62-59 to become the 2005 WNBA Champions! The game was fantastic.
The Monarchs struggled in the first half, but came out more determined than ever in the second. Although the Monarchs had a fourteen point lead with about 6 minutes to go in the second half, Connecticut did not lay down. They kept fighting and made the game close. Good effort by the Sun, but I am thrilled that the Monarchs and Yolanda Griffith and Kara Lawson got a title.

WNBA FINALS.....

What a series it has been. Sacramento and Connecticut were tied going into this afternoon's game. The two teams appear to be evenly matched.
Sacramento held on to win it today and now they lead the best-of-five series 2-1. They had a fourteen point lead and let the Suns get back to within 2 before they pulled away again. Nothing like keeping it exciting until the very end. Gotta love it!

I am hoping that Sacramento pulls it out and wins the Championship. People who have been in the league for a long time, like Yolanda Griffith, deserve to get a ring. Game four, Tuesday night in Sacramento. Lets go Monarchs!!

In other games today...

The Eagles beat the 49ers 42-3! Now that's what I'm talking about. They came out firing and never looked back. Could it be that last Monday night's game woke them up? I hope so. Nothing like a good scare in the beginning of the season to get a team going. Keep the momentum going and lets kick some more butt next week.

And on Saturday, the Minnesota Golden Gophers beat Fla Atlantic 46-7! I love it!!!

Philadelphia Eagles....

Here we go AGAIN. I hope the first Eagles game was not representative of what the season is to become. They looked LOUSY. Looked like they were not in sync at all. Donovan Mcnabb had better get it together. If he's the leader of the team, he better act like it and put some points on the board. 'Nuff said!

As for the pre-game scuffle....was it really that serious to eject both players? Did Jeremiah Trotter really throw a punch? If so, where and when did he do it? Wasn't it just a bunch of guys trying to get themselves hyped for a game? Come on now.

Just heard that Donovan has a bruised chest...is this something that is going to haunt him all season and cause us to miss yet another Super Bowl because Donovan is hurt, sick, or tired?

Pray for the victims of Hurricane Katrina

With all the devastation in the Gulf Coast, I am asking that everyone say a few extra prayers for the vicims of the hurricane. And, please help the victims in anyway that you can. A little can go a long way.
